Hovertravel still operate Britain’s longest-standing commercial hovercraft service from Clarence Pier Portsmouth to Ryde on the Isle of Wight for foot passengers only.
The Portsmouth Continental Ferry Port is the second busiest ferry port in the United Kingdom behind Dover and handling around 3 million passengers a year with links to Caen, Cherbourg-Octeville, St Malo and Le Harve in France, Bilboa in Spain and the Channel Islands, with services operated by Brittany Ferries, P&O Ferries, Condor Ferries and LD Lines.
The port has direct access the M275 Motorway.
